In this rich country with such a diverse heritage, it is sad that other factors are being brought into the spotlight. Today, India has become a country defined by its clutter, dirt and corruption. India has become prone to all kinds of pollution by making it difficult for people to live a healthy life.
To address the issue of the lack of cleanliness in India, our Prime Minister of Sri Narendra Modi organized a campaign on October 2, 2014 at Rajghat, New Delhi and called 'SWACHH Bharat Abhiyan' (Clean India campaign). Five-year program scheduled to end on October 2, 2019, in honor of his 156th birthday in Ganghiji be kickstarted. The estimated cost is around ₹ 62,000 crore and is funded by the government.
This campaign aims to promote awareness to eliminate the threat of littering. It also aims to eliminate the act of open defecation by building accessible toilets throughout the country. Part of the campaign focuses on the conversion of unsanitary bathrooms pour-flush toilets. the need to address long-standing was dangerous act to eradicate manual scavenging. It will promote 100% collection and scientific processing / disposal / reuse / recycling of urban solid waste. It will try to induce a change of behavior in people about healthy sanitation practices, raising awareness among citizens about sanitation and its linkages to public health. The Abhiyan support urban local bodies in the design, implementation and operation of waste disposal systems.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) organized the 11th Cricket World Cup this year. Australia and New Zealand were joint hosts of the tournament which was scheduled for February 14, 2015 to March 29, 2015. A total of 14 teams participated in this great spectacle of cricket. These teams played 49 matches, of which 26 took place in Australia and 23 in New Zealand. Sachin Tendulkar was named the 2015 Cricket World Cup ambassador by the ICC for the second time after 2011 Cricket World Cup. Having won the tournament in 2011, the Indian team were the defending champions this time.
The ICC World Cup is one of the most anticipated sporting events in the world. It would not be wrong to say that for many has become a way of life and Indians fans take the excitement to a whole new level. As they say in India, cricket is not just a sport; it is a religion.
