Mahatma Gandhi Mahatma Gandhi was one of the great visionaries of human history. Karmachand Mohandas Gandhi was born on October 2, 1869 in the city of Porbandar, India. In 1888, Gandhi left his country and his family to study law in London. While in London he immersed himself in the study of world religions - Hinduism, Islam and Christianity. In 1891 Gandhi returned to India, but it was difficult to maintain a law office because of their caste. In 1893 he began working in South Africa. It was there that he experienced discrimination firsthand. He began to mobilize the Indians in South Africa to fight for equal rights. He started teaching "Satyagraha" or devotion to truth.
In 1914, Gandhi returned to India an embattled with the injustices of the British government. He had with him his only weapon, his belief in the truth, which fought the British for independence of the people of India. Gandhi believed that peace can only be achieved through non-violence or "ahimsa". He said: "Nonviolence is a weapon of the strong." One day, while Gandhi was mobilizing peacefully million fight back against the British rule, a man ran up to him and said. "Gandhi-ji please give me a message to bring to the people in my village," Gandhi tore the corner a brown paper bag, borrowed a pen and wrote a note: "My life is my message, MK Gandhi." This simple but powerful thought, almost a century later we can leverage as a source of inspiration in the world today.
Mahatma Gandhi President Barack Obama in his recent speech before the United Nations General Assembly, cited the words of Mahatma Gandhi. In condemning the violent protests that erupted following an anti-Islam film, the President said: "It was time to heed the words of Gandhi:" Intolerance is itself a form of violence and an obstacle to growth of a true democratic spirit. '"Nelson Mandela, who fought peacefully against apartheid, Gandhi said:" His magnificent example of personal sacrifice and dedication in the face of oppression was one of his many legacies to the world. The values of tolerance, mutual respect and unity for which he stood and acted had a profound influence on our movement. They inspire us today in our efforts for reconciliation and nation building. ". Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s civil rights leader used Gandhi's teachings of nonviolence He said:" If humanity is to progress, Gandhi is inescapable. He lived, thought, acted and inspired by the vision of humanity evolving toward a world of peace and harmony. "The Dalai Lama in his speech accepting the Nobel Peace Prize said:" I accept the prize with profound gratitude on behalf of the oppressed everywhere and for all those who struggle for freedom and work for world peace. I accept it as a tribute to the man who founded the modern tradition of nonviolent action for change - Mahatma Gandhi -. Whose life taught and inspired me "
"An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind." Gandhi said. How you can eliminate violence with violence? There will be no positive impact or a positive outcome. Recently, citizens in Egypt were trying to overthrow the dictatorship of Hosni Mubarak with the use of violent protest. Although success came in the form of removing this dictator, thousands of innocent lives were lost. This also happened in Libya, where there was a movement to overthrow its dictator Muammar al-Gaddafi. The current war in Syria to remove President Bashar al-Assad is carrying out an enormous cost to human life. These conflicts have all been the result of a stubborn approach of non-commitment. Most conflicts can be resolved by the will to understand the problems of our opponents and using compassion for all human beings. A war always inflicts pain and sadness. What difference does it make war on the dead, the orphans and the homeless? A world of peace can be achieved if we learn the power of ahimsa. He said: "There are many causes that I am prepared to die because no one would kill for.".
Mahatma Gandhi and NaheruGandhi also said "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." A great leader must lead an exemplary life. Gandhi sacrificed his legal practice in South Africa and adopted a simple life to live among the millions of people living in poverty during India's struggle for freedom. While it may not be practical for the leaders of today to live a simple life, words of Gandhi taught us to focus on changing ourselves. He did not tell us "go out and preach", he said only "Change yourself." How can a child stop bullying at school if he is a bully? How can we have a clean environment if we continue to lose? A person must first ask "What message is my life, my actions sending?" A person who wants the change must begin within himself. It is only then that this person can serve as a stimulus for change in the world.
Gandhi taught us to see the good in people and help them. He said: "I am a Hindu, and Hinduism is that makes the world worth living I am a Hindu, therefore I love not only humans but all living beings.." There is in mostly good in all people. For serving other people it adds value to their lives. The people you help may feel more inclined to help others. And so, an upward spiral of positive change would be created that will continue to grow and become stronger with each act of service.
Mahatma Gandhi taught us that we can bring harmony to our world by becoming champions of peace and love for all. This task may seem impossible, but he showed a frail man, meek can accomplish amazing feats through a practice of truth, nonviolence and service. What will your message be in the world?

Gandhi was induced to create non-violence among the citizens of India. Many events lead to act on this, for example, when he dealt with racism while attending law school in London, England. Business trip to Africa was another cause, after refusing to alter class to third class in a public train that led to the persecution. It is dedicated to the hunger strike because of the aggression awakening in India to prove that it can not fight fire with fire. All he advised was true and thought a lot. Gandhi was also aware of poverty in India. He said that until every human being in India receives a kurta, wanted to not use any one. The only clothes he wore was a dhoti and shawl, which was to weave a Charkha, a traditional spinning wheel to make yarn or wool to make clothing. I did not want to dress more elaborate needy citizens of India. In order that identical decided to dress them. They were his family. The people we spoke to. He was their voice. Not forgetting the fact that the British ruled and were dominating all parts of India. However, the teachings of Gandhi benefited the road to independence, which occurred in 1947.

He was discharged in January of the following year, and was available to attend the Round Table Conference in London, but the situation did not and he was back in jail. In 1933 he was released and returned four months later with his wife Kasturbai thirty followers for starting another civil rights movement. They were sentenced to one year. Finally in 1942, Gandhi was prosecuted by British authorities, who believed that his arrest would prevent any determination of the opposition to the "Quit India" movement. However, due to the death of his wife in 1944, he was allowed to appear at his funeral, but was sent back to jail. After a few months later, it was officially released because of health complications.
The January 30, 1948, Gandhi was assassinated by a Hindu nationalist colleague, Nathuram Godse. Godse did not agree with the teachings of Gandhi, in the belief that India demolished rather than better. While Gandhi a platform that was to recognize a prayer meeting at Raj Ghat, approached Godse shot him three times in the chest. There had been previous attempts by others to kill Gandhi too. Unfortunately this attempt was successful. His last words were "The Ram". Godse was executed over a year after the death of Gandhi.
Gandhi funeral gathering occurred in the same place he was killed. He also was cremated there. Some of his ashes were spread across India in urns for funeral services. Some also were cascading into the river Nile, Girgaum Chowpatty, and most of them in the Triveni Sangam.
Mahatma Gandhi definitely not be forgotten. He puts their values and beliefs in their actions, that complied with many challenges. However, they achieved were absolute. He produced their hunger strikes friendship between rivals, ending his bitterness. Although his commitment to civil rights is practiced through ahimsa, he faced derogatory and racist acts, including multiple arrests, which were a positive impact and inspiration to the people of India, even though sometimes imprisoned in its effort. Its shares issued predominant successes, including the independence of India, which benefited from his determination. He used his trust as the voice of his family, which he regarded as all of India. He was one who did not want prosperity. In fact, the kingdoms of living in poverty was luxury. Gandhi is a common model for people in all countries on this planet. Pacifists well known as Martin Luther King Jr., were motivated by their ideals. He is the "Father of India". Gandhi said an appropriate response as a response to a question from a reporter who asked what his message to the world. Now the world knows, after every act you perform, what Gandhi meant when resp-onded: "My life is my message."
